A FEATURE FRIDAY...AN ARTIST TO LOOK FOR...

She was bought to me by my son...when he said listen, I listened and thought I heard this song but could not picture the artist. I told him I needed a new artist to perform cover songs, me thinking (new school cover songs) just what Detroit needs, one that is young and can sing. And when I heard her, I was like oh, yeah! And he told me they were doing a performance at a talent show coming in March (2015). My thought then was like oh, "I need to be there when this happen!", me and a few other important folks. So here she is..."Ton'nise"

So, let me know what you think...I would love to hear from you!

This was posted without knowledge. So this is why it's short and brief. Hopefully, to hear more from this new artist. #detroit #music #newartist

Added featured song...ORIGINAL FROM "CEF" which was added about six months ago.

LOCALLY MUSICALLY INCLINED - THE CYPHER TOUR FEA. A DETROIT'S OWN!

It's how I see it. He was destined to keep going no matter how long it took. He did his thing, made himself known across the city. And if you have not heard of him...it was your loss. Detroit, once known for the music and the big three. Detroit, where most everyone knew someone famous. Detroit, where people was for themselves. At least that's how I seen it. When I say, support your local musicians they turn and look the other way. So, if you haven't heard about "THE CYPHER TOUR" then you're not locally musically inclined. Yeah, this tour will begin out of Orlando, FL. But if you have supported your local musician then you will have known about it.

The Cypher Tour is a fusion of Old School Hip-Hop and New School flavor featuring the artistry of K-Solo, The Spec-illest, Uniqme, Young Wulf, Osiris, Nia Sweetz, and Kallahann The Coolest. Some of the artists mentioned are featured on The Hitsquad Zero Tolerance Album. The Hit Squad was a 1990s hip hop collective of East coast hip hop artists formed by Erick Sermon and Parrish Smith better known as EPMD. In 1993, EPMD released the single "Headbanger" from their fourth album Business Never Personal. The single featured K-Solo and Redman and the music video features appearances by most of the Hit Squad.[2] The single reached #11 on Billboard's Hot Rap Tracks chart.[3] The single's success made "Head Banger" the Squad's "signature song".[4] The album also features Das EFX on the track "Cummin' At Cha. In 2004 UniqMe linked up with longtime friends PMD and K-Solo and appeared on the Hit Squad, Zero Tolerance Album.

Did you see his name..."The Spec-illest" one of the Detroit's own. He worked, played, and applied his patience and he finally made it. Not to mention had taken my room and turned it into a mini studio, my little brother, worked his way to K-Solo, Waste Management Records. I could only wish him the best and the hard work to take him further. So if you haven't heard of him. Here's a chance to listen to one of my favorites, "I Will Not Lose."

This is what they wrote about my brother...The Spec-illest "The Spec-iLLest: On stage, his voice demands attention. Laced with raw lyrical content and clever word play, the crowd is instantly drawn in, hanging on to every word recited. You can feel his emotion as you hear it. His sound is original and reminiscent to the more lyrical age of Hip-Hop, He has been nominated for numerous music awards and has won countless contest showcasing his lyrical talent. Aside from emcing, he DJ's, produces, and has worked with soul singers, funk bands, and rappers alike. He is considered one of the top five emcees coming out of Detroit."
